Is the economy taking away everything you worked so hard for? Are you looking to make an extra four hundred or five hundred dollars per month? Or are you looking to make online marketing a career? Do you want to start to make money on line today?

If so, I want to help you out. What I have here is an outline of a online business idea that many, many people have been successful working.

I know it’s not easy to know where to start or who to listen to. I remember it vividly. Plus, everyone thought I was crazy starting an online business. I bounced all over from one business to the next. Not really sure what to stick with. I then found my mentor.

I’m want to be that person that you are looking for. So here we go….

Okay, lets begin…Number one. What interests you? What are you passionate about?

Once you have a few ideas, you need to do some on line research on them to see if they are worth pursuing. Meaning, are they going to make you money on line.

Go to sites like google news, ask.com, and yahoo answers. They will let you see what is fashionable right now. Once you find something that may interest you, dig down into it to see if there are subniches. If there are, then take those sub niches and dig down deeper still. The less untapped a niche is, the more chance for you to have success with it.

After that, you need to do some keyword research to find some phrases that can bring you some traffic. Use google’s free keyword tool. Just type that right into to your google bar, click search. Click on the first ad.

You don’t want a ton of competition with these keywords. Again, not broad. Dig down. Find phrases or longtail keywords. These are much more targeted, giving you more of a chance to get noticed by the search engines, which in turn moves you up the results page where potential buyers can find you for one of your given phrases.

Okay, lets skip ahead. Now that you have some keywords and phrases to go with your niche. Head over to Clickbank. You’ll find a ton of digital products there that you can advertise.

With over 10,000 product owners and well over 100,000 affiliates, clickbank is a main stop for tons of affiliates. A bunch of new products are launched everyday and you can signup for free.

So what you want to do is sign up with clickbank, write down your ID that your given, and then go find a product.

Now go get your affiliate link from the product that you’re going to promote. You will use this on your site or webpage and try to get people to click on it. This will take them to the sales page of the product you’ve chosen. If a sale is made, you’ll earn a commission. Don’t forget to buy a domain name for that affiliate link. It’s long and it’s ugly, haha. Check out GoDaddy.com.

Clickbank is known for paying out nice commissions.

I know I mentioned this earlier, but here it goes again. This is just an outline that you can follow to get you in right places. There is work involved. No get rich schemes here.

Ok. You have your product to promote. Now you need to set up a little webpage or landing page because you need to start driving potential buyers to the sales page. Try Wordpress or start with a great little site called Squidoo! Google loves squidoo and wordpress! Both have a massive amount of tutorials and such to get you going.

Google likes it when you have your own little page rather than sending people straight to the sales page(direct linking). Having a landing page will get you more traffic, which means you’ll start to make money on line quicker.

Alright, time to start sending traffic to your page.

There’s a couple of ways that you can drive traffic to your site. You can either do this manually, which takes time. This is also known as organic traffic. Examples of this are: Blogs, Squidoo, Ezine advertising, Article marketing, getting involved in forums, etc. The other method is paying for it. Don’t get into this until you have a lot of content of your own out there and you’ve got a steady cash flow coming in. Examples of this are: Pay per click and solo ads in ezines.

Once you have been doing SEO for a while and you know what’s what and you’re bringing in a steady cashflow, then you can look into paying for traffic. Pay per click, solo ads in ezines. Pay per click looks easy, but don’t fooled into thinking that’s where the quick money is. There’s alot of little nuances that take time to learn. You could lose your shirt quickly in a day or two.

If you are totally new to online marketing, all the terms and such may sound a bit foreign. But as you move along learning everyday, you’ll have no problem with the terms. Just find yourself someone to follow who can give you all the little shortcuts and show you how to profit quickly. That’s the key, finding early success, even if small.
